Hi guys! Here’s wishing you all a very happy new year 2015!
Back from a deep slumber ..ehh! My new year’s resolution is to get back to blogging (and resolutions are meant to be adhered to ; for some time atleast!) So here’s a photo-account of my recent trip to Vienna. As always, I and my husband are never too fussed about ticking all the ‘must-visit’ boxes. ‘Experiencing’ the place and its people is our motive for most of our holidays and this comes next only to the real motive – relaxation!
So Vienna is beautiful and this of-course goes without saying. Although winter may not be the best season for visitors who aren’t used to biting cold! But if you can bear -10 degrees, then the sheer grandeur of white snow-laden architecture is worth the pain! Most ‘must-visit-places’ lists for Vienna speak about the history and royalty, which can be seen in even in the streets (leave alone the palaces and operas) of the Innerstadt. It is not just the city of Hapsburgs, Mozart, Freud, museums, art and horse carriages but it is an experience that comes together in the sips of coffee at the ‘kaffehauses’. And the fresh orange juice served with the breakfast platters is to die for!!
Will come back soon to catch up on my travel in 2014 and the upcoming travels and experiences this year! Thanks for being with me 🙂
