In the land of Agatha Cristie

I and my husband went to Torquay over the New Year vacations. Yeah I know, not the best time to the year to go the city but all we wanted was to run away from the hustle-bustle of the city and experience a quieter (Romantic 😉 ) New Year!

So the Meadfoot beach was right next door and I admit the sound of sea waves crashing against the beach scared me a bit! But it was a beautiful place to stroll hand-in-hand. We took a steam train to Dartmouth which is another colourful city to wander in. On a rainy day, (well almost every day of our trip was rainy) we went to the Paington Village nearby to see lovely arts and craft especially glass work carved by locals.

All in all it was a beautiful trip and a sweet start to the New Year. I have been very late in posting these pictures but I hope this post will refresh you amidst your busy routine life!

  1. Beautiful colors and excellent photos. My fav is the one with rails. Very nicely captured. So, is Dartmouth is the birthplace of Christie? How about visiting the inspiration of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and his imaginary 221 Baker Street! I guess there is a museum sort of thing there….
